Hello
Hi! My name is Katie (nickname Kay) and I am an illustrator that focuses on children’s books and illustration with a love of using traditional and digital media. My favorite materials to use are water color, colored pencil and gouache.
I draw inspiration from everyday life, nature, my family (mostly my kids) and always try to add a touch of whimsy to everything I create. I have a deep love for children’s art and the freedom that it envelopes and am on a continuous journey to bring that freedom and looseness to my own work.
I currently live in Upstate NY with my husband, three kids, one dog, three cats, and one bearded dragon named Rupert. When I’m not painting or drawing, you can find me outside, when the weather is warm, or thrifting and visiting antique stores with my mom.
